By downloading, installing, or using Fonvo (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Fonvo is provided by Rafał Podleś (sole proprietorship / JDG, Poland), hereinafter referred to as "we," "us," or "Fonvo."
Age requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to use Fonvo. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
Fonvo is an AI-powered language learning application for iOS. The App allows users to practice speaking and writing in foreign languages through conversations with AI tutors. Key features include:
Important: All tutors in Fonvo are AI-generated characters, not real people. All conversations are generated by artificial intelligence, not written or spoken by humans. AI-generated responses may not always be perfectly accurate.
To use Fonvo, you must create an account using one of the following authentication methods:
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Each person may maintain only one Fonvo account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or for any other reason is not permitted.
Fonvo operates on a freemium model with the following tiers:
Provides access to a limited number of daily conversations and basic features at no cost.
Provides unlimited conversations and access to all features for a recurring subscription fee.
All subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store using StoreKit 2. By subscribing to Fonvo Premium, you agree to the following:
Fonvo uses artificial intelligence to generate conversation responses, language corrections, error analysis, and vocabulary suggestions. While we strive for high quality, you should be aware of the following:
You should not rely solely on Fonvo for critical language needs, such as professional translation, legal interpretation, or medical communication.
When using Fonvo, you agree not to:
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
You retain ownership of the content you create through your conversations in Fonvo, including text messages, voice recordings, and vocabulary lists ("User Content").
By using the App, you grant Fonvo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service. This includes:

The Fonvo name, logo, visual design, and all AI tutor characters -- including but not limited to Luna, Alfie, Elsa, Kasia, Émile, Sofia, Mateo, Yuki, Mina, and Wei -- along with their names, likenesses, personalities, and associated content, are the exclusive intellectual property of Rafał Podleś.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any part of the App's content, design, or characters without prior written permission from Rafał Podleś.
All third-party trademarks, service marks, and logos appearing in the App belong to their respective owners.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rafał Podleś shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
Maximum liability: In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the App exceed the total amount you have paid to Fonvo in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
This section applies to users who download Fonvo from the Apple App Store. These terms are required by Apple and supplement the rest of these Terms:
You may delete your Fonvo account at any time through the App's settings. Upon deletion, your server-side data (conversation history, vocabulary, progress data) will be permanently removed from our servers. Any data stored locally on your device will remain until you uninstall the App.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms. In cases of severe or repeated violations, termination may be immediate and without prior warning.
Upon termination of your account:
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our business practices, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means (such as email or an in-app notice) prior to the changes taking effect.
Your continued use of Fonvo after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the App and delete your account.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Poland.
EU consumer rights: If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you retain any mandatory rights granted to you under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits or waives those rights. You may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
